Gangnam interests

Hello all (sorry just a lot of writing this time)

Well despite the title my new interests aren't all that recent. I just haven't written anything for that long.
My new interests seem to rotate around one thing, or place really, South Korea. It's a strange place to say I am interested in and I am judged because of it. Most normal people say they really like the romance or France and Paris, or the History that took place in America, but here I am with South Korea.
I will start at the beginning; have you ever heard of Gangnam Style? Of course you have! If you haven't you must have been living under a rock.

It starts with that famous video. I was one of 1,256,048,373 (when I checked last) people who had looked up the video on Youtube out of interest. To be honest I actually liked the music and how quirky and weird the music and video was. This is when I first heard the phrase Kpop, so naturally I looked it up. What I found is what now appears to dominate my life. I was lead to a video about the top 5 kpop songs, and at #1 of this chart was a song called Fantastic Baby by a band called BigBang. My first thoughts were 'wow! This actually quite good' and 'their name sounds funny, and this video is weird'. I then proceeded to do what most 18 year olds would do, I showed my friends. Only one showed any interest.

This happened late September. I have now been to see BigBang live in London as part of their Alive world tour. I have seen most of the TV shows they have appeared in, and I own most of their music. I have also got a large poster of this band on my wall which will soon be joined by their official callendar and a poster for another Kpop band called FT Island. I have a twitter account which should be called more of a fandom account. I have also spent most of my waking moments reading about them, looking at photos, or listening to their music.

Kpop has literally taken over my life in 4 months. I also like other groups like Epik High, 2NE1, FT Island, Tablo and CN Blue. It has almost got to the stage where I will lose sleep if something about them is being reported on twitter.
Just to show you who I am talking about.

I have also taken up trying to learn how to speak and write korean, but so far I am still below a basic understanding. I also watch Korean TV, yes I know... But I really enjoy the variety show called Running Man, and my friend and I are huge fans of the (cheese-tastic) drama You're Beautiful.

Having told you all this, I don't mind if you call me weird or point and laugh. I just want to let you know how much my understanding of other culture have grown. Through this one band I have learnt about the Korean and Japanese cultures, I have learnt about the war between North and South Korea. Above all that, I am completely hooked on one person... Yes as they would put it over there, I have found my bias. The one celebrity I idolize and admire (also he is easy on the eyes). Don't laugh when I tell you his name, it's T.O.P of BigBang. I will leave you with that and maybe you can expect another update, or I will just vanish for a few months again.
The one I speak of, T.O.P.

Back again

Hello everyone

It's me again, I might have got a bit distracted from coming up with anything to post. But I finally have something for you.

I have always liked looking at sayings or quotes, they often come from people who had everything figured out or people who are just smarter than I am. Here are a few of my favourites. x

Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you anywhere.- Albert Einstein

Readers are plentiful, thinkers are rare

The creative adult is the child who survived

The best ideas can hit you when you least expect
Keep a pen handy

Some days you're the bug, some days you're the windshield

Looking back at this I realise that not many of these can be counted as quotes, but I like them all the same.

Lots of Love

Salisbury!

Last Saturday we went to Salisbury! Doesn't sound too exciting, but I assure you it was! It is well worth visiting the antiques centre. I know that sounds super boring, but even I enjoyed it! I didn't buy much as lack of money seems to be my thing. We took some photos so that you could enjoy the experience with us.

Sorry there are so few. I am honestly such a bad photographer that the other photos weren't good at all. I hope to get better so that I can upload many more photos.
We will be posting more often. I will make sure of it!

Keeping up to date

Hello once again

I don't think I have done very well with keeping my promise of some regular updates, and daily shoe photos (which look like they might transform into pictures that I just like). I think I will try kick start this by beginning on Monday, I am even going to name it MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY, I think it needs a title. I am also starting a new working routine, and generally going to be less lazy, as you know I have had my AS level results and they weren't as grand as I would have liked, so I think I need to get motivated and work more. Have you been getting the same feeling?
Maybe I will make a post about how I am going to change what I do, for example my new week planner using post-its on my wall.

Anyway here are some special shoe photos for you x

It was a bleak day when these photos were taken, but I really love how the building all look. They look like you could go inside some and see the people that lived in them when they were first built, like you could go in and have supper with the inhabitants.

These are again taken from Hameln Germany, if you are ever near it please take some time to enjoy it.

Delays and broken keyboard, with animal themed cuties

Hello everyone!

As you may notice from the title I know I have been late with updating this and keeping to my schedule but I can never stick to schedules. The worrying thing is I am going to see if I have stuck to me schedule enough during college to get myself some good marks seeing as we are getting our first test results from January. I am so nervous.
On top of that I spilled pudding on my keyboard and now my spacebar needs smashing when I want to use it, and the D key has fallen off. Fun
Anyway I am going to be showing you some of the items I have found on the internet that are all animal themed
Unbelievably cute, these are animal collars without the dead animals, by a company called Hibernate-with-me.

This is a cat-in-a-can, I think this is going to be something I am going to have to get because I live away from home and I miss my cats, it would be nice to have a cat I can blow up and cuddle when I need it most (like tomorrow)

Now this is a strange thing, a tissue box thats like an octopus, it would be sweet to have on the side of the counter, but how do you get the tissues in there?
I see these as the cutest thing in my whole list, tiny fox earrings, simple and sweet they look like something straight out of a children's story book.

Well thank you for reading and sticking around, I have been noticing views going up, please my friend and I really want to do well, so please comment and mention which of these items is your favourite.

Lots of Love

Hello my pretties *evil cackle*

Hello my lovelies

As you can probably tell from the title I am in a movie mood, and a classical movie mood at that. I am currently in love with the wizard of oz. I mean how can you not be in love with a movie that has an evil witch, munchkins (who do slightly creep me out), a lion and a tin man, and on top of it all is the singing, I am a sucker for a musical.
Okay now to get to the point. I have found some adorable merchandise from etsy especially for you!

This book mark is so simple, but never fails to give me delight when I see it.

This picture is so artistic and I love it because they haven't gone all out to make it look like the movie. The artist has painted what was in their head while they read the book, and for that I love this.

I hope you can see the text on this gorgeous picture. If you can't I will put it here:
TOTOIVEAFEELINGWERENOTINKANSASANYMORE.
I will leave you to add the spaces

This last one made me laugh the second I saw it, and I thought you might appreciate and eyeful

Yes! It's a sexy tin-man card! Whoever came up with this idea clearly has a sense of humour, or is just messed up.

Well those are my favourite Oz themed items, sorry this wasn't the favourite shop article as expected, but I was not prepared to be very productive today. I am also still getting into the habit of this seeing as blogging is still new to me.

Thank you for viewing my Oz themed selection

Please comment if you have a favourite item! We want to know there are people out there!

home for a week

Hello Everyone!

I don't know if you knew this, but last week was half term. Which means both Annie and I returned to Germany where we live at the moment.
Now we said somewhere, I think, that our new aim is to upload at least 2 photos everyday. I know its late, but here are our first 2, and I can give some information about this seeing as it is in my home town.

This in german is the Pfannekuchen haus, but in english its the pancake house, a lovely little place where the main food is pancakes (didn't see that coming did you?)
This place is in the center of Hameln in an old house where the floors are wonky, and the ceilings are low.
If ever you are in town, I recommend it!

Thank you!
